Through Achmat Fanie Architectural Services, he designs and draws residential projects that are practical to build, compliant with the National Building Regulations, and ready for municipal submission.

Do I need a SACAP registered professional to draw my plans?

Yes. Municipalities in South Africa only accept building plans submitted by a person registered with SACAP. Achmat is registered as a Professional Senior Architectural Technologist (PSAT24707820).

How long does council approval take?

It depends on the municipality and the complexity of the project — typically from a few weeks to a few months. Complete, compliant drawings from the start are the best way to avoid delays.

How much do building plans cost?

Fees depend on the size and type of project. Get in touch with a short description and, if possible, your erf number, and you'll receive a clear quote.

Can you help with work that was built without approved plans?

Yes. We measure what's there, draw up as-built plans and submit them to regularise the building work — often needed when selling a property.
